Your Two Cents

CR 2008 was a great success, and I had a great time - I hope everyone else did, too!

If you’d like to share your thoughts on the conference, please take our survey - there’s one for authors and one for readers.  (Most of the questions are the same in both surveys.)

If you’re an author, please use this survey:

Time To Be Creative

Although there hasn’t been much activity here on the web page, we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes, making plans for the conference. Now that the conference is less than five months away, you’ll probably see more postings here on the blog (as well as in the newsletter and the discussion list).

Friday night is always our “fun night”, when we eat great food, meet everyone, talk about books and play games! This year Cybil had a fun idea – we could play a romance version of Pictionary. But we need some help thinking up categories and picture ideas. If you remember the original version of the game, there were five categories (in my edition, they were “Person, Place or Animal”, “Object”, “Action”, “Difficult” and “All Play”) and for each category, there were clues you had to draw.

So put on your thinking caps, and send us your best ideas for either categories or drawing clues. You can post them in the blog comments, email them to me, Leanne or Cybil, or post them to our discussion list. Have fun! My email is karen@crspring.com

You can now post comments for blog postings. Thanks Nils!! Just click on “Comments” below the article, and you’ll be taken to a page where you can see other people’s comments, and post your own.

By the way, if you click on “Newsletter Signups” on the right side of the page, you can join one of our email lists. We suggest that everyone join the newsletter, which will start coming out at least once a month until the conference (probably more often in the last weeks). There is also a discussion list, where you can chat about CR, and the advanced book trade list, which is part of the book trade – I’ll be posting more about the book trade in the next few weeks.
